The wonderful healing properties of parsley are often ignored, but this herb contains nutrients that positively affect our health. Parsley contain two types of interesting components each one with unique health benefits. The first type is volatile oil components (limonene, myristicin, alpha-thujene and eugenol and the second one is flavonoids (apigenin, apiin, luteolin and crisoeriol).
Parsley is also know as a source of vitamins C, K and A.
Here is how to prepare one of the most useful beverages in the fight against cholesterol and fats:
- 1.5l (50 oz) water
- about 3 stalks of parsley,
- 1kg (35 oz) lemons and
- baking soda
Use the baking soda for cleaning the lemons and gently rub it onto the rind to remove any kind of dirt or other impurities. Boil 1.5l of water and let it cool down. Next, chop the parsley into small pieces and slice 1kg of lemons into thin pieces. Finally add them all into the water, cover and keep it stored in the fridge for one day. The next day stir it well before pouring it in a glass bottle.
Every day drink around 100 ml (3.5 oz) and watch as your cholesterol and fats slowly burn away…
