This homemade drink could solve mayor problems for all who have trouble with cholesterol and triglycerides and need to regulate the lipid levels in their blood. You are just a few simple steps away from preparing an amazing natural remedy to reduce cholesterol and triglycerides levels and refresh  your system.

Remember, this drink is not a miracle worker because you`ll need to make some lifestyle changes like exercising and eating healthier food.

Here is what you need:

  • 100-120 parsley sprigs with leaves
  • 3 liters (101 oz) of water
  • 2 teaspoons of baking soda and
  • 1 kg (2.2 lbs) of lemons

For starters you should know that parsley is an excellent source of anti-oxidant nutrients such as Vitamin C and flavonoids (luteolin). The healing properties of parsley are often ignored but your body will really benefit by getting rid of the free radicals.

Baking soda will keep your pH balanced, help in any digestion problems you have and most important prevent potential heart problems because of the high cholesterol levels. Also, you don`t need to worry about the sodium (in the baking soda) because it will not cause any problems with your blood sugar levels.

And finally lemons are known for their fat burning properties and that`s why they are an essential ingredient in almost any weight-loss diet. They don`t contain any cholesterol or saturated fat and are natural anti-oxidants.

Preparation:

Put baking soda in a bowl of warm water, add the lemons (after washing them with cold water) and leave them to soak for about an hour. In this way they will be cleansed perfectly and also receive nutrients from the baking soda. Wash the parsley thoroughly, carefully chop it into really small pieces and finally also chop the lemons without peeling them off.

Prepare a pot with 3 liters of water; put the parsley together with the lemons and cook it for about 2-3 hours until half of the water has evaporated. And finally let everything cool off, put the mixture into a strainer first and then put the liquid into a pitcher.

Always keep the drink in the fridge and drink only 50ml (1.7 oz) per day on an empty stomach half an hour before a meal.
