All smokers are always eager to light up a cigarette right after a meal. We all know that tobacco in not recommended ever, but it`s especially dangerous for your body after eating. Here is what happens to your body when you smoke right after a meal.

According to recent researches by many scientists, smoking right after a meal does damage to your body equal to smoking 10 cigarettes at once. These means the risk of lung cancer is increased 10 times. Also smoking affects the deterioration of irritable bowel syndrome, so don`t get surprised by the side effects such as cramping, increased gas, abdominal pain, food intolerance and bloating. As you know the digestive system is interconnected with the whole body so the nicotine is easily tied to the oxygen in the blood and easily absorbed.

Here is an extra tip what should you NOT DO (or eat) after a meal:
Do not eat any fruit after meal because they are processed in the body immediately meaning they will remain in your system (because of the previous absorbed food) and will release toxins in the stomach. So always eat fruit at least two hours after a meal or on an empty stomach.
